Business Need / Purpose of Role

Assists in various duties as requested or required in one or more areas of a facility / worksite.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to: 

  • Loads and unloads materials, parts or products onto or from
    pallets, skids, conveyors or trucks
  • Delivers parts or stock to designated work areas
  • Assists in the setup / operation of designated machines
  • Facility housekeeping and maintenance
  • Assist as requested / required

 

Objectives:  To safely produce a quality product within given timeframes.

 

Measurements:  Safe, timely and accurate completion of assigned duties.  Continual learning.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Health & Safety : Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Able to work in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves and others
  • Able to demonstrate compliance to company safety procedures and legal obligations
  • Recognise and report and resolve hazards identified

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences in English.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability o perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume and distance.

  

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
