Business Need / Purpose of Role

The inventory control coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the production process.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Manage and maintain parts inventory and rental fleet
  • Manage Inventory demands for all satellite stores
  • Review demand patterns, weeks of supply, stock and inventory turnover
  • Receive, examine goods shipped and verify completeness of orders and reconcile against bills of lading, invoices and other documents
  • Input inventory control transactions in the system, description, vendor and inventory adjustments
  • Prepare, schedule and conduct regular inventory analysis and inventory physical counts
  • Establish priorities for specific customer orders
  • Work with appropriate shop personnel to revise schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material and equipment
  • Other duties as seen fit by management

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Wellhead experience a strong asset.

 

Language:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have the ability to become forklift certified.
