As part of our sales departments, the Valve Product Specialist will work collaborative with internal departments and external stakeholders to support business development, sales of products and aftermarket services, while ensuring that customer requirements are met. This position is ideal for individuals who have a strong aptitude for commercial activities and customer service. This role includes interactions with customers to interpret specifications, select products, and provide technical support.
Minimum 3 years Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering in Oil & Gas Sectors is preferred. Instrumentation Engineer with Knife Gate Oil Sands application experience would be ideal.
Limited travel may be required.

Bachelor of Engineering Degree, with 3 to 5 years of engineering experience.Eng. licence is ideal. Prior experience with roles involving applications, customer-support, sales, or manufacturing environments is considered an asset.
English. French is an asset. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to use basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Demonstrated proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience using ERP/MRP systems, AutoCAD and/or other Design or engineering software will be considered an asset.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills:
Member or eligible to become a member of a Professional Engineering Association, having attained or working towards P. Eng. designation.
Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to sit, stand, and lift more than 15 pounds.
