Business Need / Purpose of Role

The Frac Asset Supervisor supervises workers engaged in Wellhead Assembly, Field Service Operations, and Frac Operations.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:



  • Assists in coordinating production, distribution, and warehousing of frac equipment service to meet customer demands
  • Studies work schedules and estimates workers hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Works with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations Interprets specifications, wellhead drawings and job orders to workers, and assign duties Establishes or adjusts work duties to meet schedules
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop departments, or work crew
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems Initiates or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Work with well site supervisors, frac, and wireline reps to implement order of operations at wellhead (valve management)
  • Function and service hydraulic and manual valves at wellhead and frac manifold
  • Troubleshoot valves, hydraulic accumulator as well as air actuated grease pump
  • Fill out proper paperwork ( safety, logs, field service tickets)
  • Line up operations for well head equipment
  • Monitor third party radios on status of concurrent operations
  • Performs activities of workers supervised when necessary

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Well head experience preferred or experience with wireline, frac, or flowback operations will be considered an asset. Oilfield tickets, clean drivers abstract. Familiar and comfortable working with high pressure equipment and high pressure lines. Well control training is also considered an asset. Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Positive attitude and a drive to succeed in providing customers with workmanship that meets or exceeds their expectations.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to use and apply manufacturing geometry.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing and inventory software; internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:

Manufacturing / Service area with high-speed machinery, welding equipment, coolants, some area of high noise levels. Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and any other required proper protective equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
