To manage, lead and develop an engineering team that is capable of providing both technical and field support to our customer base within the wellhead, production valve, and frac rental market. The role requires operational adherence to sound engineering practices, excellent communication skills along with the ability to train and mentor technical personnel.
Health & Safety : Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in an engineering or technical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum five (5) years supervisory or management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically, capable of reading and interpreting technical specifications, customer, industry and business publications and writing technical reports targeted at colleagues, senior management or customers.
Sound mathematical understanding, with fast mental arithmetic capability. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to work independently and without supervision. Clear, rational and logical thought processes. Capable of leading a systematic, data-driven problem solving process.
Detailed understanding of modern Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, including scope and limitations. Basic hands-on skills in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside for short periods of time and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be significant, as expected in a heavy industry manufacturing facility. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas of the facility. While performing duties this job may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
