This role will be instrumental in supporting the finance team in the development and implement process improvements and lead ad hoc project work. Reporting directly to the Financial Director for Minerals Canada, they also will work closely with the Controller and Head of Planning and Analysis.
Health & Safety : Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Finance role in an operational environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Commerce or Finance. Accounting designation is a strong asset. A good mix of cost accounting and general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential in both French and English. Must be able to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as required by law. Excellent self-motivation, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills along with literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint software are required. Experience with Cognos, TM1 or SAP are assets.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, while producing high quality, accurate, and meticulous work. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision as well as within a team is essential.
