    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Supervises workers engaged in Assembly and Test operations to produce refurbished valves and frac equipment.

    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Objectives:

     

    Including but not limited to:

     

    • Requisitions materials required to meet production goals
    • Examines items produced to determine if items meet specification
    • Studies production schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of job assignment
    • Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations
    • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
    • Plans, organizes and schedules employees to meet production and customer requirements
    • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
    • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop departments or work crew
    • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
    • Initiates or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
    • Maintains production records
    • Confers with supervisor to coordinate activities of individual departs
    • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed
    • Communicate all safety topics daily
    • Complete daily/weekly/monthly safety inspections
    • Uphold housekeeping standards at all times
    • Identify safety hazards and discuss with supervisor to develop a plan of action where needed
    • Communicate any equipment/part needs with rental expeditor and supervisor
    • Drive continuous improvement sustainment on all initiatives
    • Communicate employee attendance with supervisor and deliver feedback to supervisor on employee production
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations, Special Skills: Forklift certification required.

    Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

     

    Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outside for short periods of time and is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be significant, as expected in a heavy industry manufacturing facility. Personal protective equipment is required in certain areas of the facility. While performing duties this job may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
