    Business Need / Purpose of Role

    Responsible for the development, opportunity identification, exploration, and management of assigned client accounts.  Some duties include, but are not limited to; all issues pertaining to sales, marketing and operational communications, QHSE targets and requirements, strategic growth plans, customer development, training, and direction. Directs marketing and sales operations for Weir Seaboard service centers in assigned territory. 


    Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

    Including but not limited to:

    • Promote products and services offered
    • Find and develop customer base, using a relationship strategy. Establish and maintain relationship with clients
    • Minimize customer/client “stress” with technical ability and follow up meetings, reports, etc
    • Collect information as required to provide accurate proposals to clients Prepare and review proposals with Operations input, and Applications Engineering, as required
    • Compile customer and competitor intelligence
    • Update activity forecast to identify equipment and personnel requirements
    • Attend technical meetings and shows as required by the business plan
    • Complete and submit accurate and timely expense reports
    • Set/execute promotional strategies and plans
    • Serve as a liaison with other members of the Weir team, to maximize business opportunities for the entire Weir Co
    • Provide input to, and complete yearly objectives
    • Develop 30/60/90 day rolling plans for sales
    • Take ownership and responsibility for all company safety goals and practices on a regional level, ensuring all employees and staff is well versed in company safety policies and processes
    • Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area
    • Provide input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products
    • Provides input to the development of a service process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
    • Manage contact with clients to ensure a competitive edge on upcoming projects, and meeting of customer needs
    • Review and monitor Business Unit revenue and cost reports
    • Set and execute promotional strategies and plans
    • Set strategic direction and execute strategic plan for assigned clients
    • Advise on pricing strategies with the sales team and management
    • Demonstrate commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment

    Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

    The preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:

    • 5+ years industry experience
    • 3+ years wellhead experience

    The incumbent will demonstrate a strong understanding of how our business and the business of our accounts work.  They will have an understanding of the business practices and trends within both Weir Oil & Gas Pressure Pumping and that of the accounts.  Further, they will understand how strategies and tactics work within the Pressure Pumping market place.
    Functional & Technical Skills:
    The incumbent should possess strong technical and application skills for oil field service pumps, flow iron and other related equipment.  They should demonstrate proven sales skills within the oil & gas industry.
